Jakarta Vice Governor Ahmad Riza Patria revealed the Phinisi People and Bicycle Crossing Bridge (JPOS) was made as a form of respect for health workers who died in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.

"We don't intend to eliminate the pelican crossing, but this bridge was made for a good purpose," he expressed, in the Pancoran area, South Jakarta, Friday (3/11).

He asserted that the pelican crossing would still exist where its function is the same as JPOS. The most important thing that needs to be paid attention to at this time is the appreciation of health workers who are still working in containing Covid-19 in Jakarta.

"There (the bridge) are written the names of health workers. This is our form of respect for their struggle," he stated.
